Our company primarily focuses on advanced medical equipment research and development. We collaborate with experts from National Taiwan University's Medical and Engineering Schools to innovate and develop a non-invasive ultrasound computer-aided diagnostic system. This system assists healthcare professionals in clinical tumor detection and diagnosis, with minimal environmental impact.

For products requiring hardware production, our company mandates that suppliers obtain necessary environmental permits (e.g., emissions monitoring), approvals, and registration documents, which must be regularly maintained and updated. We also require suppliers to identify and manage chemical substances and other materials that could pose hazards when released into the environment, ensuring their safe handling, transportation, storage, use, recycling, reuse, and disposal. Furthermore, compliance with the RoHS standards (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, Restriction of Chemicals) established by European Union legislation is expected.

Potential Risks and Opportunities Related to Climate Change and Greenhouse Gas Emissions for Our Company:
I.Regulatory Risks Related to Climate Change:
As the global response to climate change intensifies, regulations and agreements pertaining to this issue are becoming increasingly stringent. Currently, our company's operations are minimally affected by global climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, as our primary focus is on research and development. However, as responsible corporate citizens, all employees continue to collaborate in efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our company's growth. In addition to monitoring domestic and international regulations, we will continue to set self-imposed standards to align with future industry trends and enhance our corporate social responsibility.

II.Substantive Risks Arising from Climate Change:
The significant climate changes resulting from greenhouse gas emissions may indirectly or directly lead to increased operational costs, presenting substantial risks to our company, including:
1.After typhoons, the instability of water resources may result in reduced production or production stoppages in our company.
2.Sudden heavy rainfall causing road collapses or flooding may impede the smooth delivery of our products to customers.
3.Strong winds leading to power outages may hinder our company's ability to operate fully.

III.Opportunities Presented by Climate Change:
In response to climate change, there will be a growing demand for energy-efficient and green products, providing companies with opportunities to actively invest in the use and development of such products. This proactive approach contributes to a sustainable environment and enhances the competitiveness of our industry.

To mitigate the aforementioned risks, our company simultaneously identifies feasible opportunities and devises responsive measures. In the context of climate change mitigation, we are developing initiatives related to green operations, energy management, carbon disclosure, and green buildings. Regarding climate change adaptation, we have already implemented strengthened foundational measures, built sustainable operational capabilities, and fully embraced the use of green building practices.

However, our efforts to give back to the community go beyond the business scope. Each year, we sponsor and donate several hundred thousand dollars, collaborating with multiple hospitals and physicians to enhance the health of our entire nation.
